Official Facebook home launcher for Nexus S working! Hi guys since the Facebook home is officially not available for our device I just used the old build.prop trick to make it work fully for my nexus S. It should work for everyone but it is not guaranteed please perform necessary backup before changing anything in system files. Requirements - 1.Rooted Nexus S. 2.File explorer with root permissions. 3. Latest version of main Facebook app and Facebook messenger already installed. 4.Custom recovery img I have CM10.0 stable on my phone but it should work with any ROM.Open your file manager browse with root permission - mount as writable - you will find build.prop in the system folder first make a backup of that then open build.prop in editor and edit the lines for ro.product.model/brand/device/manufacturer and in additional build properties change ro.com.google clientidbase line as screenshots below After making changes reboot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache and reboot. 9 surprising reasons mobile apps get rejected from the Apple app store

9 surprising reasons mobile apps get rejected from the Apple app store Apple’s App Store review process is designed to keep the app ecosystem healthy and to protect users from low-quality or hostile apps. And the system mostly works. But sometimes an app is rejected for reasons you might not expect, and it can force developers to scramble to either push back launch dates or even have to redevelop key features. Before you head down that road, here are nine surprising reasons apps get rejected by the App Store that you should consider before you submit your next app:   1.      Use of the word “beta” or otherwise indicating that your app is unfinished Google has made it a standard industry practice to launch services into indefinite “beta,” but Apple can be quite strict about any indication that an app is unfinished or not yet ready for prime time. We have seen apps get rejected for being labeled “Beta,” “Preview,” and even “Version 0.9.” 2. ...

Facebook Home pre-release leaks

Facebook Home pre-release leaks A pre-release version of Facebook Home has leaked ahead of the planned 12th April Play Store release date (also the release date for the HTC First 'Facebook phone'). The build itself (pulled from a pre-release HTC First ROM) seems to be rather buggy and incomplete (I can't get 'Chat Heads' working for example), but it's interesting to have a play with to see what Facebook has in store for us later this week. In order to use the leak, you need an Android device with a maximum resolution of 1280x768 and the ability to completely uninstall your existing Facebook app. This is important, as the leaked APKs are re-signed and can't just be installed over the top of an existing installation. This will automatically exclude some devices which have Facebook installed in the base ROM. If you're on a Nexus device you're good! Even if you  do  have Facebook in ROM, provided you are rooted there are workarounds - i'll deta...

Facebook adds new emotion selection tool, making it easier to converse

Facebook adds new emotion selection tool, making it easier to converse  See that? That's a new feature on Facebook's status box, which has started to roll out this morning after earlier testing in January. It's also covering up a pretty depressing note from a friend underneath, who would've undoubtedly selected "sad" if he were to have recognized said feature before posting a conventional status update. For now, it appears that the emotion selection tool is only hitting select US-based users, as our European contingent has yet to see it appear on their profiles. Essentially, a smiley face has been added to the right of the photo button, and pressing it gives you a quick way to update your status -- you can share an emotion, or what you're watching / listening to / reading / drinking / eating.  It seems as if Facebook wants to funnel conversations a bit; instead of only giving you free rein to blabber in a status box, it'd much rather you updat...
